Dear Aspirants, I hope you are all doing well. So, Assam State Police invites online application for the post of Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III). These posts are permanent in nature. Those eligible and interested aspirants may apply Online only through the official website of the Assam Police.


Vacancy Details -


• There are total 451 vacancies for the post Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III). Out of which 316 posts are for Male Candidates while 135 seats are reserved for Female candidates.


Eligibility Criteria —


• Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III) :

Aspirants should have qualified H.S.L.C or Class X passed from a recognized Board or Council. Aspirants must have Home Guards Training Certificate or NCC ‘A’ Certificate.Aspirant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Note:- The persons who qualified H.S.L.C.  but doesn't possess Home Guards Training Certificate or NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:


• Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III) :  18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020

Upper age limit can be relaxed as per Government norms.


Pay Scale:


Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III) :  ₹14000 — ₹60500


Physical Standards : 


Constable/ Guardsman (Grade-III) :

Male Candidates should have 162.56 cm (160.02 cm for ST (H)/ ST (P) candidates) height; 80 cm Chest (unexpanded)(78 cm for ST (H) candidates) ; 85 cm Chest (expanded)(83 cm for ST (H) candidates); and should have weight Proportional to height and age, as per medical standard.
Female Candidates should have 154.94 cm (152.40 cm for ST (H)/ ST (P) candidates) height.
Aspirants must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should have possessed high colour vision. Aspirants must have good mental and physical health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection Process :


Selection of eligible candidates will be done based on Physical Standards Tests (PST), Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), Written Test and Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills.

Note:-  The advertisement issued by the DGCD & CGHG vide No. CG 52/2013/134 dated: 02-07-2015 for the recruitment of 299 Constables in ASRF Battalions is cancelled. However, those candidates are eligible as per the said advertisement, but now have crossed the upper age limit may also apply.
