Dear Aspirants, I hope you are all doing well. So, Assam State Police invites online application for the post of Forester - I, Stenographer (Grade - III),Forest Guard, Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter and Driver. These posts are permanent in nature. Those eligible and interested aspirants may apply Online only through the official website of the Assam Police.
Vacancy Details -
• There are total 11 vacancies for the post of Stenographer (Grade - III). Out of which 3 posts are for general unreserved category. 1 seat is reserved for EWS candidates, 2 seats are reserved for SC candidates, 5 seats are reserved for OBC/MOBC candidates.
• There are total 812 vacancies for the post of Forest Guard. Out of which 397 posts are for general unreserved category. 81 seats are reserved for EWS candidates, 42 seats are reserved for SC candidates, 104 seats are reserved for OBC/MOBC candidates. 101 seats are reserved for ST(P) candidates while 87 posts are available for ST(H) candidates.
• There are total 35 vacancies for the post of Surveyor. Out of which 16 posts are for general unreserved category. 03 seats are reserved for EWS candidates, 03 seats are reserved for SC candidates, 10 seats are reserved for OBC/MOBC candidates. 01 seats are reserved for ST(P) candidates while 2 posts are available for ST(H) candidates.
• There are total 28 vacancies for the post of Mahut. Out of which 18 posts are for general unreserved category. 3 seats are reserved for EWS candidates, 03 seats are reserved for SC candidates, 04 posts are available for ST(H) candidates.
• There are total 1 vacancies for the post of Carpenter. which is for general unreserved category.
• There are total 50 vacancies for the post of Driver. Out of which 15 posts are for general unreserved category. 05 seats are reserved for EWS candidates, 03 seats are reserved for SC candidates, 15 seats are reserved for OBC/MOBC candidates. 4 seats are reserved for ST(P) candidates while 8 posts are available for ST(H) candidates.
Eligibility Criteria —
• Forester - I : Candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
• Stenographer (Grade - III) : Candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.And Candidates should have National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam or any other recognized Institute, with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
• Forest Guard : Candidate should completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council.
• Surveyor : Candidate should completed their HLSC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council.And Candidate should have certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.
• Mahut : Candidate should completed their Class VIII or equivalent.Job aspirants must have an experience of minimum 03 years in elephant upkeeping.
• Carpenter : Candidate should completed their HLSC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council.And Candidate should have trade certificate from a recognized Institute.
• Driver : Candidate should completed their HLSC or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ Council.And Candidate should have four wheeler driving licence issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam.

• Forester - I : 21-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Stenographer (Grade - III) : 21-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Forest Guard : 18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Surveyor : 18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Mahut : 18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Carpenter : 18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
• Driver : 18-38 Years as on 01/01/2020
Upper age limit can be relaxed as per Government norms.
Pay Scale:
• Forester - I : ₹14000 — ₹60500
• Stenographer (Grade - III) : ₹14000 — ₹60500
• Forest Guard : ₹14000 — ₹60500
• Surveyor : ₹14000 — ₹60500
• Mahut : ₹14000 — ₹60500
• Carpenter : ₹14000 — ₹6050
• Driver : ₹14000 — ₹60500
Physical Standards (Only For the Post Forester-I and Forest Guard):
Forester-I :
Male Candidates should have 162.56 cm (153 cm for ST candidates) height; 79 cm Chest (unexpanded); 84 cm Chest (expanded); and should have weight Proportional to height and age, as per medical standard.
Female Candidates should have
150 cm (145 cm for ST candidates) height.

Aspirants must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should have possessed high colour vision. Aspirants must have good mental and physical health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Selection Process :
Selection of eligible candidates will be done based on First Phase Test,Second Phase Test comprising of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Fitness Test, Written Test and Practical Test/ Skill Test wherever applicable and Extra-curricular Activities..
